The Halfling King is an illustration project which is comprised of black and white drawings for the front and back covers as well as 5 interior full-page illustrations. The illustrations were hand-drawn using Faber-Castell PITT Pens and Chinese ink onto 250gsm watercolor paper before being digitized for the print file. The Halfling King is a wonderfully imaginative and poignant story by Dr Kathrina Daud, a lecturer at the Faculty of Arts & Social Sciences at the University of Brunei Darussalam. The story follows the birth and life of a half-human, half-crocodile boy through the perspective of his mother and is loosely based on a local Bruneian myth. This book is available through the publisher, Heartwrite Co.
